Pre-Acclimatization for the climb: This climbing program doesn’t include the acclimatization to the high altitude. Therefore, an adequate high altitude trekking prior to the climb of Kyzildang Peak is an essential part of the Expedition success. Please consult our trekking tours to find a suitable acclimatization tour or contact us for advises.

Altitude: The human body can adapt to high altitude (starting from around 2500 m). The process of adapting to the decrease in oxygen concentration in the blood in the altitude is called Acclimatization. It is the body’s natural means of avoiding altitude sickness. The time of acclimatization depends on the altitude, rate of ascent, and individual susceptibility. A number of changes must take place for the body to operate with decreased oxygen. Among other things, the most important behaviors in the altitude are:

  •  Take it Easy
  •  Stay hydrated
  • Eat right
  • Ascent during the day, descend for the night
  • Slow progress in altitude increases your change for summiting successfully
  • Be honest with yourself. If you feel headache or bad otherwise, descend to lower altitude
